Villa Real Mexican Hot Chocolate with Almonds:Made in Oaxaca using a traditional recipe, this Mexican Hot Chocolate is made with simple ingredients; just cocoa butter, sugar, almond, and other nuts and spices. The result? The most delicious cup of Mexican Hot Chocolate you've ever tasted. You'll get a bag of 5 tablets (250g) to mix with milk or water to savor by the fireside.

Red Clay Hot Chocolate Jug:Clay cookware is a staple in Mexican Kitchens. Passed down by the Aztecs, it’s preferred for the unique flavor it lends to food. This handcrafted jug is made with ancient hand-molding techniques from the past, and finished with new techniques (and a lead-free glaze, of course) to be both functional and decorative.

Large Traditional Molinillo Whisk:Our Large Molinillo is handcrafted out of natural alder wood, with one-of-a-kind details burned into each whisk. Quickly move the molinillo back and forth between the palms of your hands, and the wooden rings and holes in this traditional Mexican cooking tool will mix the chocolate up while creating a cloud-like froth.

All items in this collection are handmade by artisans in Mexico. Do not put the Jug or Molinillo in the dishwasher - hand wash only.

Villa Real Mexican Hot Chocolate with Almonds

• Ingredients: Cocoa butter, sugar, almond, nuts and spices

Hot Chocolate Jug:

The hot chocolate jug gets better with time and care. It needs to be cured, but it’s worth it. To cure it, fill with cool water below its rim and heat until the water becomes warm for 10 minutes on the stove. Turn off the heat, and allow the water and pot to cool. Discard the water, and your clay pot is ready to use.

9" H (to rim) 10.5" H (to top of handle) 4.5" Diameter at rim, 22" Diameter at center, 3.5" Diameter at base.

Capacity: Appx. 68 oz / 2 Liters (these are all handmade so variations in size will occur).

Note:*This jug is a cooking vessel, and not recommended as a water pitcher as the terracotta clay will sweat. The condensation that collects on the outside is normal, and does not imply that the jug is leaking.
