The pass the prize bridal shower game is essentially a game in which you pass around a present for an expected amount of time that is measured in a few different ways(depending on what you like, typically, you will read a funny poem). At the end of the allotted time, the person who is holding the present is the winner!
It’s super simple, which is why it’s one of my favorites. Sometimes it can be really hard to get people up and mingling, especially when the game you are playing has a lot of complex rules. This game takes away all stress; it’s just pure fun!
The adrenaline hits as soon as you have the present in hand. The whole room will be filled with laughter, screams, and a good time! So, with all of this said, you may be wondering…but how exactly do you play?
How To Play the Pass the Prize Bridal Shower Game?
So to start, you will need a sheet with a themed poem written on it. I have given you some options below. Those are my top three, so look through them and see which one you like. After you have this in hand, you can read the rules out loud. There aren’t many; you simply have to keep passing every time the poem says to. The last person standing with the prize gets to keep it.
The prize starts out in the bride-to-be’s hands, and then the poem is read aloud. You listen to the prompts and pass them to whoever is described. By the end, you will know your winner!

This is going to be up to the person paying for the bridal shower. If you already have your hands full with the wedding, don’t feel bad if you just get little gifts. After all, gifts aren’t the reason all of your friends have gathered together for the shower, you are! So even if you make a quick trip to the dollar store, it doesn’t matter.
But if you have a little bit of the budget for it, I would recommend putting together a little bundle prize for this game. Since this one is very focused on the prize, it should be better than the others.

I would say 2 or 3 would be best. That way, you have time in between just to hang out with the people you love. But at the end of the day, this is up to you. If you LOVE games, then add more. It won’t hurt!
I just think that this is the perfect amount because you still feel like you are on a schedule, but it’s not so crammed that people don’t have time to relax and hang out.
